Overview
ecos Workflow DuraJet Edition
ecos Workflow DuraJet Edition is supplied with all hardness testing machines in the DuraJet G5 series. The operating software is operated from a touchscreen on the hardness testing machine. It is equipped with the most important functions for hardness testing in accordance with Rockwell and other depth measurement methods. The availability of additional software modules means that the package can also be upgraded with extra functions. With ecos Workflow DuraJet edition, simple measurement tasks can be performed very quickly - a necessity above all in production and incoming goods inspection.
Use of the intuitive and very easily operated ecos Workflow DuraJet edition therefore makes it possible to save valuable working hours.

Functions

Specimen
Select the required test type or load previously created templates (settings) from a list or by means of the linked code with a connected barcode/QR-code scanner. With the DuraJet G5, it is also possible to archive the test data in a structured fashion. Alongside the standard test data management function that stores all test results in a collective list, measurement data groups can also be created or loaded here for subsequent storage of all the determined test data.

Conversion
Due to the many different hardness testing methods, it is often necessary to convert measured hardness values into the units of one of the other methods. For this reason, empirical values were determined on the basis of comparison measurements, conversion tables were drawn up and standardised in the corresponding codes. Different tables exist for a very wide range of different materials. ecos Workflow contains standardised conversion tables for:
- DIN EN 50150
- ASTM E140-05
- DIN EN ISO 18265

Limits
Different limits can be specified, depending on the demands on the test specimen. If the measurement result is within the limits, the measurement is signalled by the software as OK. The limits for a measurement are subsequently displayed visually and recorded also in the statistical evaluation.

Component Correction
A correction factor is determined, depending on the form of the workpiece to be tested (spherical or cylindrical). When the diameter and curvature (concave inwards or convex outwards) are entered, this correction factor is taken into consideration in the hardness value on the basis of the standard. You can thus save time and don’t have to look manually for the correction value. The correction value is also included in the test history.

Features

Efficient data management
The vast number of measured values created during the course of comprehensive quality assurance demands highest levels of precision and availability from computerised QA systems.
In order to guarantee continuous documentation and reliable allocation of measured data to the respective workpiece, all DuraLine models offer extensive possibilities for data output and backup.

Individual test reports
Whether with the standard ecos Workflow form or company-specific test report – the flexible and extremely convenient form and report generator allows you to prepare your own reports to document the test results. Your own company logo, individual fields for specimen designations and various diagrams can be integrated into the test report.

Template function
The use of templates significantly reduces the work for the operator and increases the safety and efficiency of the testing process. All settings for the hardness test, such as test method, lens, conversion factors, etc. can be stored as templates and loaded again whenever required. In addition, a QR code containing this information can be generated directly at the hardness tester. This can be stored e.g. as an image file and printed out on a docket, thus enabling the template data to be read in via a QR code scanner interfaced to the hardness tester.

User Rights Management
The ecos Workflow CIS operating software offers the possibility of selectively and individually controlling user rights by means of user levels. Any number of user levels with different rights can be created and changed at any time. All available rights can be very easily assigned to the desired user level with the help of a rights editor. The users are then assigned to the user level that can, if necessary, be additionally protected by means of a password. This ensures that only authorised users can perform a measurement with the required test method or can change machine settings.

Data management
A measurement data group can be created and selected before the test. All test results are collected in separate lists, allowing them to be represented clearly, exported or saved as a report at any time. Use grouped measurement data management to assign test data to individual users or user groups, components, batches or departments. In addition, frequently used test parameters can be assigned to the measurement data group in the form of templates (method, conversion, geometric correction). This significantly reduces the amount of work for the operator and the possibility of incorrect operation.

Optional modules

ecos Jominy
The optional Jominy module offers the possibility of testing up to six specimens fully automatically and of determining their hardening depth. The Jominy software module guides you through the test procedure and ensures a standard-compliant test in accordance with EN ISO 642 and ASTM A255-07. The test point editor allows not only standard-compliant test procedures, but also user-defined tests to be carried out. The result of the Jominy test is recorded and documented in a standard-compliant measurement report with hardness curve.
