In principle, any company can carry out calibrations themselves.
The precondition, however, is that the measuring equipment used is traceable to international or national measurement standards and that the tests/calibrations are performed according to the requirements of the standards.
The international standards therefore recommend/propose that these tests are performed exclusively by accredited calibration laboratories (in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025)
