The DuraJet G5 and our accredited calibration laboratory are among the very best!
As an accredited calibration laboratory, we are subject to the strict requirements of the EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, which seeks to ensure the quality of test and calibration results. These requirements also include participation in comparison programmes between laboratories and in suitability tests.
Participation in the suitability test – the Rockwell hardness test HRC DIN EN ISO 6508-1 HRC-2014 (1401), organised by Institut für Eignungsprüfung GmbH (Institute for Proficiency Tests) – allowed our accredited calibration laboratory to put its daily work to the test and demonstrate the high quality of our measuring equipment.
The following assignment had to be completed as part of this suitability test:
The participants each received three certified test blocks with different hardness levels - as specified by the Materials Testing Institute of North Rhine-Westphalia (MPA NRW) - and a material sample.
• HRC measurement on certified test blocks
• Testing of a material sample as per DIN EN ISO 6508-1 and specification of the expanded measurement uncertainty.
Naturally, all of this was undertaken anonymously and without knowing which reference values were attributable to the individual test blocks and the material sample.
124 laboratories from 23 countries took part in this suitability test. Of the 124 measurement results submitted, EMCO-TEST was one of the top 5 participants!
These measurement results from our accredited calibration laboratory not only confirm our capability in the field of calibration, they also demonstrate the high precision of the DuraJet G5 hardness tester.
