Hardness testing highlights at Control 2018
At the Control trade fair in Stuttgart (24–27 April 2018), EMCO-TEST presented the new, fully automatic DuraVision G5 macro and low-load hardness tester, which features a motorised cross slide and a wide standard load range up to 3000 kg, making it suitable for high test loads as well.
Visitors were not only impressed by the large selection of test methods, but also by the diverse potential applications of the hardness tester: From fully automatic serial testing of material samples (including Jominy) through to large weld seams and curves – with the DuraVision G5 Automatic, all these hardness testing tasks can be completed quickly, efficiently and reliably.
The new software modules from EMCO-TEST’s in-house Development department also met with great interest from the trade fair visitors: They had the opportunity to see for themselves on the stand how the new modules for automatic test sequence positioning (ecos AUTOROW) and the line tools for more application-friendly test point positioning (ecos LINEplus) can make operation of the fully automatic EMCO-TEST and Struers DuraScan and DuraVision hardness testers even more efficient and even smarter.
Control, the leading international trade fair for industrial quality assurance, welcomed 28,241 trade visitors from 98 nations this year. This made the 32nd edition of the trade fair even more international – 29% of trade visitors (27% in 2017) travelled from abroad. Furthermore, 883 exhibitors from 31 countries took part in the trade fair.
