EMCO-TEST ACADEMY
With the upgrading of its German office into a fully fledged sales and service subsidiary, hardness tester manufacturer EMCO-TEST is now expanding its direct sales operations in Germany and Switzerland to complement its important Austrian domestic market. Accompanying this, EMCO-TEST used CONTROL - the most important trade fair for the quality assurance industry - as a platform for sealing a comprehensive partnership with Aalen University and founding the EMCO-TEST ACADEMY.
The EMCO-TEST ACADEMY, run by EMCO-TEST Testing Machines based in Kuchl near Salzburg, provides in-depth hardness testing knowledge from the company's own 60 years of experience and collaborations with renowned institutions.
This is a continuation of the concept that originated last year at the HTL Hallein technical college near Salzburg. In order to ensure appropriate training in the hardness testing of metals for prospective engineers, EMCO-TEST equipped HTL Hallein with a hardness testing laboratory. Now it has also provided Aalen University in Germany with state-of-the-art hardness testing machines for teaching and research purposes as part of a forward-looking partnership.
As a technological leader, EMCO-TEST quite consciously sought out one of Germany's leading research universities of applied science as a cooperation partner and supplement to the scope of training offered by HTL Hallein in Austria.
The scope of training offered to Aalen University students is also supplemented with various technical seminars on the subject of hardness testing at the training academy, which is likewise located on the university premises. This training programme is also open to EMCO-TEST customers and anyone interested in furthering their education. In addition, customers can also have the EMCO-TEST hardness testers demonstrated to them by an EMCO-TEST employee in a personal appointment on site in Aalen.
"As a market leader in hardness testing and a globally successful company, this strategically important step of founding our own EMCO-TEST ACADEMY as a training platform represents a significant contribution to the education of future engineers in Austria and Germany. At the same time, research and teaching will further develop the state of the art of hardness testing and moreover facilitate access for our customers and the wider public to comprehensive technical knowledge at various education levels on all aspects of hardness testing. We call this 360° FULL SERVICE COMPETENCE," says EMCO-TEST Managing Director Klaus Reisinger.
